Just to let everyone know, there are Helmet Video Cameras available from the Outdoors shop in Swords town center mall. They record to a small hard drive which can then be downloaded via a USB cable to your PC. They retail around 270 Euro. Might be a good investment for the club?

Bantham 1966 (D14) Restoration posted by Jason Plunkett on Mon the 7th of May 07 @ 12:21

I'm sure people have heard me banging on about the BSA Bantam (1966 D14) from time to time so I have attached a photo of the finished bike. We fired her up for the first time, possibly in 10 or more years on Saturday, the smell and sounds were fantastic, thanks to the good work of Peter McPud over the past couple of months. This project has taken 4 years on and off (mostly off) it really is a good feeling to bring the old girl back to life, if you are considering such a project, I say go for it. Also, congratulations to Ray who has just finished a six month restoration of his 1981 Yamaha Radian 600, good work Ray (we will have to put all of this on the web site, it's just so exciting!!!!!!!) Anyway have a look at the photo.

Preparation for the TT posted by Paul Burke on Tue the 24th of Apr 07 @ 12:25

Just to remind all members attending the TT 2007, that from Thursday 26th of April will be only 5 weeks away.  So for those of us who don't have camping gear, LIDL are selling (ta jay)  2 man tents, sleeping bags, on Thursday 26th April. Dunnes Stores are also selling camping gear at the moment which consists of a 2 man tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 mats, for 29 Euro, check it out folks.

Let's not forget the calendar of events and the first chance for us to try out the new camping gear will be at the Northwest 200, we will be leaving on Friday the 11th May, at approx 11am, taking the scenic route, we can stop at Joeys bar in Ballymoney, and have some lunch. This will be a long spin and will take aprox 3 hours to get there.

The Northwest 200 has the largest attendance of any sporting event in Ireland, 130,000 last year. The racing is sensational with speeds of over 200 mph being reached. So folks there it is, it will be a mini TT for all those who aren't going this year, and it is also an excuse for a good old sociable drink or two.
