The Irish Trail Blazers came into existence in March 2005. The idea came through work affiliation with fellow bikers and like minded friends and so the club was born. Initially comprising of five members the club has now grown to sixteen members, this number is likely to increase as time goes by. The seeds necessary for the formation of the club had been planted many years before in various guises which is reflected in membership ranging from members who are interested in touring, fast road riding, Irish road racing and off road, so we try to accommodate everyone at some point throughout the season. Some of our activities in the past have been to attend various Irish road race meetings; we also go on ride outs on a weekly basis (each member plans a route usually lasting somewhere between 4-6 hours) and in the past have attended various International events such as the Isle of man TT races (to date this has been an annual event) and various rounds of the Moto G.P. Championship, British Super bike etc…

The club has, over the past two years held an annual barbeque and organised an annual weekend away traditionally at the end of our biking calendar (which is usually late September). To date our calendar has run from March October as you can appreciate its not much fun going for a Sunday spin in the depth of winter, this is not to suggest we are sunny Sunday afternoon riders, the majority of members are on their bikes all year as a mode of transport. Winter activities so thus far have consisted of a monthly social outing and the A.G.M., along with keeping in contact through e-mails etc… This year the club has seen the first European tour organised, this will take place August 2007 hopefully this will become an annual event.

Summery Irish Trail Blazers established March 2005. Current membership = 16 members (male and Female). Activities = all types of bike related messing about including restoration projects, motorcycle racing, social events etc…
